  • Cleveland Park just gained a new wine bar: Little Blackbird. Chef Ryan Moore, of the adjoining Israeli/Mediterranean Sababa, is in charge of the kitchen. [Axios]
  • Chip City, the New York City cookie chain, is planning to open three outposts in the D.C. area throughout this fall and winter. [Eater]
  • Union Market will host a weekly, year-round farmers market starting Sept. 17. FRESHFARM, the D.C.-based nonprofit that’s behind the new market, also operates more than a dozen similar markets across the DMV. [DCist]
  • Patrons of the new food hall the Square are pissed about the 12 percent “fair wage charge” that’s added to every check. “You don’t even have servers, what are we supposed to be tipping for?” one perturbed customer wrote along with their one-star review. [X]
