Ward 3 could get a new school and that BoE data breach could be worse than initially thought.
- A data breach at D.C.’s elections agency might’ve given hackers access to more sensitive information than officials previously hoped. The Board of Elections says the hacking group RansomVC may have accessed the city’s voter roll, which includes Social Security numbers and other voter data. [WTOP]
- Ward 3 Councilmember Matt Frumin believes the Lab School of Washington may be interested in buying the current site of MacArthur High School, giving the city the cash to buy the old Intelsat headquarters in Van Ness and create an innovative new campus there. He’s urging Mayor Bowser to “take a hard look” at the idea, but she has yet to comment on his proposal. [DC Line]
- U.S. Attorney for D.C. Matthew Graves says his office has seen “pervasive” threats as it’s taken on the prosecutions of the Capitol Rioters. He told members of Congress that he’s taken unspecified “mitigation measures” to protect his prosecutors. [Politico]
