All Things Go Goes Bigger With boygenius, Maggie Rogers, and Lana Del Rey

My jaw literally dropped when I opened I.M.P.’s email announcing this fall’s All Things Go Music Festival.

Now in its ninth year, All Things Go, known more recently for curating women-heavy lineups with a queer bent, has pulled some big names over the course of its existence, including headliners Lorde and Mitski at last year’s sold out fest. Prior performances by HAIM, Billie Eilish, and St. Vincent also come to mind. But 2023’s event apparently turned to past lineups and said “hold my beer.”

Now spanning two days with three major headliners, the festival will showcase some of the biggest acts in contemporary music. Indie rock darlings boygenius—a supergroup made up of Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, and Lucy Dacus—have been the stars of spring, having finally released their first full-length album, The Record, five years after putting out their self-titled EP. (Baker and Dacus played last year’s festival as their solo acts.) Boygenius will co-headline the festival’s second day, Sunday, October 1, with the continuously prolific Lana Del Rey, who dropped her ninth album, Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd., on March 24. Easton, Maryland, native and indie/folk-tronica star Maggie Rogers will headline the first day on Saturday, Sept. 30.

But, like all great music festivals, All Things Go isn’t resting on its headliners. In fact, many big name acts worthy of the “headliner” moniker are also on the lineup, including Tegan and Sara, MUNA, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Alvvays. Soon-to-be headliners such as Arlo Parks, Fletcher, Alex G, Ethel Cain, Suki Waterhouse (whose January show at Black Cat sold out), and Meet Me @ The Altar (who also sold out their Union Stage show earlier this year) will perform as well. As an aside, this lineup is so queer that it might become a second Pride celebration.

Tickets for this year’s All Things Go Festival go on sale to the general public this Friday, April 21, at 10 a.m. Options include single day tickets, two-day passes, and VIP packages. Fan presale happens Thursday at 10 a.m.
